The WNC Cheese Trail has made the difficult decision to cancel this year's Carolina Mountain Cheese Fest due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. The numbers in North Carolina are slowly improving, but we believe it is still not prudent to hold the event and put our cheese fans, cheese makers, vendors, and volunteers at risk of potential exposure. We want to be part of moving the numbers in the right direction, and given that this event is so popular and well attended, we fear holding it this fall may risk contributing to further community spread.

This is a critical time for our nation as we address the challenges presented by the Covid-19 crisis. Top priority is to stay healthy and work to prevent the spread of Covid-19. We also want the small businesses that are unique to our region, and an important part of our economy, to make it through. We encourage you to review the suggestions below and help our Trail members in this time of need.
